Mario Cruz (a.k.a.) MCruz, born in Angeles City in the Philippines, is 46 years old, and married with four children. Mario began painting as a commercial artist, receiving many commissions from prominent art collectors from Manila and tourists from Australia, United States of America, and Europe. Mario is completely self-taught, and painted from early childhood.

His first work of art was painting landscapes and English gardens. His palette consisted only of the most basic colors. This early experience has catapulted his ability to mix and blend colors and hues with utmost expertise. In 1995, he turned to professional art and his paintings immediately found an enthusiastic audience in Manila and in Hawaii. Shortly thereafter, Mario has had several accounts in Manila and the island chain of beautiful Hawaii.

Mario's is an art practice that reflects a deep relationship with his subjects, combination of colorful water, romantic clouds, the heart-breaking shapes of the mountains, falls and the ever magnificent color reflections to the beaches of Hawaii.
